Old Lee
Thailand Ming Lee Shu Puer 2011
Beautiful, pleasantly aged classic tea cake. It was made in 2011 in the Chiang Rai mountains in northern Thailand in the workshop of a skilled puer master producer Ming Lee, who in the 1990s took over the legacy of the famous Hong Tai Chang tea factory established in 1930. This cake was made using a traditional recipe and classic picking standard of one bud and three leaves, mixing the spring and autumn harvests. Unlike most shu puer on the market, this cake is made only from old trees in the Wawee mountains. Lighter fermentation gives it a typical woody and malt character with hints of spice.
