Wuyi Da Hong Pao 2023

A diverse, liqueur-like semi-green tea with a rich mineral taste and aroma of exotic fruits, mangosteen, dates, and rare resins and a cool sweet aftertaste.

Almost all other cultivars (and certainly all four of the original "heritage" cultivars from the WuYi area, so-called Si Da Ming Cong, that DHP is a member of) have one particular, completely dominant component in their character. Be it minerality, woodiness, or fruitiness. However, in our opinion, this DHP combines and beautifully intervenes all these layers of taste into one very distinctive whole. Almost as if you distilled a mix of high-end cliff oolongs into a sweet liqueur.
