Miner's delight 2007
Ipoh Malaysia Traditional Liubao 2007
Traditional, forgotten form of dark Liu Bao tea with an intense, metallic-sticky taste and aroma of beets, root vegetables, and river stones, with long, fierce energy and a persistent aftertaste.
This Liubao was made to resemble the tea that miners used to drink in the tin mines of Malaysia. The material comes from the Chinese province of Guangxi, but the traditional fermentation using the old method took place directly in Malaysia. This gives the tea a different and more distinctive character, especially compared to the usual modern production from China.
